Can't believe the only "sane" person in this book is the FMC?!! lol enjoyed reading this. As always, Freida's books are easy to read. 

This masterpiece is about Quinn, who has committed a terrible act and is now fleeing from the consequences. She ends up in a snowstorm that leads her to a creepy, isolated motel with a lot of history.. This book is fast-paced, has plenty of twists and has an addicting atmosphere that kept me hooked from the beginning! My jaw dropped more than once 🤯

It’s definitely worth reading it and it would also make a great book  to discuss about with others because of the themes in the storyline - I think so.

I devoured this book! As always Freida knocked it out of the park. I was thrown from the get go with the murder taking place at the beginning and knowing who the killer was instantly. I thought, what more could possibly take place? A lot bruh. A lot. 

Quinn skipping town to try and outrun the police from murdering her husband was a wild start. She ends up having to stop driving further away from the crime scene when a snow storm hits and is forced to stay at a shady hotel with a dark history. By dark history I mean, drippy ceiling, accepts cash payments and doesn’t check to confirm identity when the forms are filled out. Oh, and the hotel owner’s wife is constantly watching guests out the window of their house that’s built directly across from the hotel. Also, there’s a permanent resident that pokes her head out into the hall on occasion and claims to see one’s future. It’s a wild ride!

Decent suspense novel - took longer than I thought but it was pretty obvious that the sister was the one sleeping with the husband. Once that realization came to light, the rest of the novel kinda played out as expected. I thought having Greta be an additional killer was an odd ending but not horrible.

This was a fun one to read. Not my favorite book by Freida, I was struggling to really get into it. I was able to figure out some parts of the book early on and got the rest as the book went on before things happened. Felt like there were some plot holes in this one looking back too, especially with the abruptness of a certain part. Still a fun read as I’m going through Freida’s backlist!

I loved this book so much that I read it in one day, and I'm a slow reader! I was hooked from the very beginning to the very end. 
I am shocked at the ratings since I thought it would be a little more towards 5 stars 🌟

Was so good then just fell off. Did not see that plot twist coming though. A for effort.

Extremely fast paced & very creative! There was never a dull moment, so many plotwists that are very unpredictable. Everything fell into place and made perfect sense in the end. Got me out of my reading slump, a great psychological thriller!

Trilling, gripping and filled with endless surprises and twists. 

I often have a knack for expecting the twists that I encounter in thrillers, however the plot of this story kept me gripping the pages (well, gripping my kindle e-reader!) the entire time.

Quinn’s on the run after committing a major crime, but horrible weather settling in just as she’s attempting to run has her landed in a local down-trodden motel. 

We meet curious characters with intriguing layers, back stories and the possibility of hidden secrets.

Who in this story is not as they appear? What surprises lay in store? Read it and find out, one of Freida’s best novels in my opinion!!

this book was really good until it just wasn't.

it set up a really creepy atmosphere in the beginning, which i initially really enjoyed. but i wasn't a fan of the way most twists were delivered, by having the characters plainly tell you the truth. some characters and their stories were a bit inconsistent too and they contradicted themselves (looking at you, claudia). 
the villification of mental illness was also really unnecessary. like, it was just one line to "explain" a character's actions even though i can promise you that leaving that out wouldn't have affected the story at all.

i really liked the first half of the book but it was pretty underwhelming overall, which is a shame because i thought it had a lot of potential.

A brief synopsis: After killing her husband, Quinn goes on the run. Attempting to find a good place to lay low she takes shelter in a little hotel off the interstate. She plans to leave the next morning to continue her evasion but little does she know she may have just checked into her own death 

My review: I loved this book! I would’ve rated it higher but Quinn wasn’t a very likable character and Claudia wasn’t a very realistic character. I liked all the other characters though. I also wish that they made things a tad more believable. I would get into details but I don’t want to spoil the book. It was also really cool that Rosalie had Multiple Sclerosis because I also have Multiple Sclerosis. I highly recommend this book
