Freida McFadden

The Gift

Probably the best novella I’ve read omg the plot twist at the end made the story 10 times better loved it. A good very very short read.

Hana

Stella Hansen is broke on Christmas Eve and wants more than anything to buy her husband a gift. A mysterious storekeeper at a pawn shop offers up a trade. But at what cost?

It is absolutely astonishing how Freida can pack so much suspense in 50 pages. As much as I wanted to wait until Christmas Eve to read this one, I couldn’t resist. Without giving too much away it’s about a young couple struggling financially but hopeful they can make their first Christmas together and husband and wife memorable. Well, it certainly won’t be one that’s ever forgotten.
