Freida McFadden

The Inmate

this was an entertaining but complicated read. freida really knows how to hook me with every chap. i just felt uncomfortable with some of the themes involving family relationships. while i appreciate that thrillers can explore dark topics, i felt that certain choices in the story distracted me from the mystery rather than strengthening it. it kept me entertained, but the ending left me w mixed feelings.

nothing to write home about but entertaining!

The mystery was decent but the characters were insufferable. I hated them so much. Could not see the reason behind their actions.

Wow, I was not expecting the very end!! The entire book was full of twists and turns, but the epilogue really drove it home! I’ll definitely be reading more from this author.

I loved the constant state of guessing I was put in during the whole story right up to the epilogue. I even adored the genuine disappointment it brought to me. One great Who dunnit!

The writing of this was very simple. Very fast paced too. Also I did not see that ending coming lol I thought I did but I did not.
