a lot of twists felt like they were just for shock value. felt like i could kind of see the krista twist coming. hate feeling bad for a man / always think the dynamics of a lady villain are complicated — tbh i am not sure i care enough abt this story to rly parse through any of those dynamics to see if i truly liked them or not but ig it was fun entertainment to listen to while i played my little phone games!

The very beginning made me think it was just a regular book about a horrible tenant in an apartment in New York, but by the end, I could not put it down!! my mind was spinning all the way until the last page! Very well written!

i haven’t given freida more than two stars on one of her books since APRIL 2024?! so walking into this i wasn’t expecting much to be honest. but i ate this UP. i listened to the audio book and maybe that’s what made me love it more, but i was gasping out loud and had to pause the book multiple times.

i haven’t given freida more than two stars on one of her books since APRIL 2024?! so walking into this i wasn’t expecting much to be honest. but i ate this UP. i listened to the audio book and maybe that’s what made me love it more, but i was gasping out loud and had to pause the book multiple times.

Yeah, this one was wild. I love a Freida book that makes me forget that time exists. It made me forget so well that my hold for the book went away halfway through the book and I was scrambling to try to finish it somewhere. I was addicted to every twist and turn that happened in this one and it was so fun to see everything come together. What I did laugh at for most of the book is the petty things that were done to make the other go crazy, particularly laughed at the fruit being dropped on the poor character’s comforter. All I know is if I came home to that after working all day and found that I could not be blamed for what I would do. I also found following a male protagonist and seeing him going more and more senile to be a very entertaining read. It was different and I give it to Freida to still give us something new and fresh with each new book, but helping me make sure I NEVER find my way into these situations.

The story was interesting to start but the burn is slow, I mean crawling like a snail trapped in molasses slow. The end became predictable and the twist was mediocre at best.
