I didn't expect this at all but it kinda turned out to be one of my favourite books ever??? Such an explosive but also subtle mix of feelings about racism, war, sexuality, friendship, family and growing up. This book has it all and it also teaches you about a period of the history of Sri Lanka. Loved it.
