This felt like the very definition of OTT romance but somehow it worked for me. the romantic hero was controlling and overbearing but then it was balanced out by our heroine being less a virgin maid and more a virgin warrior queen who takes nothing from no one.

I mean, tropes were included which I usually hate and I adored it. This just somehow did everything and it became so right. I hate it when you have a virgin in a book because it seems so unreliable but I liked it in this one. And I hate when people keep secrets and don't communicate but when it happened here I was just so happy with it.

This is basically one of hose romance that people will either love or hate. It's a Marmite romance which won't work for everyone but was really enjoyable for me.
