akshay rec. enjoyed it a lot more then I thought I would. deeply afraid of a stagnant relationship in my life and have the agency and lack of consequence that this doesn’t seem completely out of the picture. perhaps I will make my peace with it one day. or just leave the body there forever. 

oh gosh what can i say, i liked it. i support women's wrongs.

A familiar essence of Marquez’s other works however pacing was a bit odd for me, understanding it was incomplete.

3 stars because it’s Marquez and his style of writing is so undeniably witty. Also I think it would be unfair to criticise him harshly for a novel he did not even want to publish in the first place… rip gabo u a real one

The novel still carries the classic dry humour, wit n lyricism you'd expect from Marquez but lacking in any depth or allegory. To be fair, in the Editors Notes written by his sons, they do admit it's 'not as polished' as his other works... which is v true... alas...
