I actually thought I would never have a trigger when it came to books. I knew if a certain situation happened yeah it would affect me but I truly didn’t think the exact situation would happen. But once it did it hit hard because it felt like such a huge plot point to the book but felt so disregarded at the same time. I struggle with books that take place during COVID because of my own personal reasons/experiences and this book literally took place during that. Then on top of it the ending was an absolute not for me. I go through this tilt a whirl of confusion for what? The characters were very immature in this book and everything was again so very abrupt that it made it my least favorite book of the series.

** spoiler alert ** I feel like this book was a let down. Maybe I had my hopes up from this being my favorite series 2 years ago, or maybe it was the inclusion of the pandemic we all horrifically experienced. Either way, I feel as though Asa was not done justice, nor were some other characters. *Spoiler alert* I think killing off Hunter was completely unnecessary. If anything, it should have been in Aurora and Ryker’s book No matter what, this won’t stop me from reading the final book. I just won’t have the same passion for it as I did previously.

what the heck was the ending?

i liked it but wtf was that ending??
