This was my first read in May because I was so hyped up about Egyptian Myths after watching Moon Knight. I don’t really know much about Egyptian Myths aside from The Book of the Dead, and I don’t even know why I chose to read this book, it was the one available to me lol. So, this book was informative, but not narratively interesting. This book was divided into three parts, the first part is mainly the story about the Gods, the second part is about the daily lives of humans and the third part is about death. The second part interests me the most because usually you don’t see daily practices of ancient civilization pertaining to their beliefs in the Gods. I have to say that this book has a lot of informative graphics, and illustrations too, complete with bibliographies and sources of the text. The other problem I have with the book is how the author keeps referring to latter sections in the early part of the book and vice versa. I like the little trivia boxes explaining the Gods and Goddesses in the book, but it was a little hard to read. It was a good start for people who are interested in Egyptian Myths, but if I had to choose maybe I would go with something more narratively interesting.
