I'll start by saying that I like my fictional men to be alpha, possessive, dominant and other adjectives along those lines...but this was too much. Beau is not an "alphahole", as the warning at the begining says, he is a straight up asshole. He never listened to a single one of Bonnie's thoughts, feelings or worries, he just ignored everything she said, always responded with "I told you i'm a jealous possessive asshole" (bc you know...saying it justifies his behaviour and erases any guilt) and then proceeded to do whatever it is he wanted to do without taking into consideration what Bonnie wants. And she just went along with it because why should she remind the man that declared himself her boyfriend that she is not an inanimate object for him to fuck but an actual human being with thoughts, needs and emotions.

It was all really frustrating. I kept waiting for her to grow half a backbone and stand up for herself or at least make him listen to her but she never did...until the very end, but that lasted less than a day. And the fact that everyone around her saw nothing wrong with the dynamic of their relationship and told her she should be happy (including her father who only made it easier for Beau to control her life) made it worse. The only one who saw a problem was her brother but he is also an asshole so why would she listen to him.

It was a well written book, had a lot of potetial but I felt that it went nowhere. There's a lot of ways of writing a controling possessive man without taking away the female MC's voice and free will and this is not it.
