I'll admit it: I went into this book not intending to like it. the only reason I read was because one of my best friends told me Gena Showalter was her favorite author and all the other books by Gena Showalter made me want to puke. but, despite intending to not like this book, I found myself in love. with all the characters, the world, and the book itself. I tore through it, and was up til midnight finishing it. one thing to say: Life inside Aden's head must be so crazy, confusing, and FUN. From reading the description, I, and probably most people, are going to assume Aden and Mary Ann are going to hook up. I haven't read book 2 or 3 yet, but they are NOT. if they do, I will be SOO mad at them. Riley is one definite hunk of burning hotness, and victoria is SUPER COOL. WARNING: ANYONE WHO IS SICK AND TIRED OF VAMPIRES, WEREWOLVES, GHOSTS, WITCHES, GOBLINS AND OTHER ASSORTED CREATURES, DO NOT READ THIS BOOK. you might burn it, and that would make me sad. :( suffice to say, despite going to into this book with low expectations, I am now completely sucked in. and I need to get off the computer and go read the next one!
