Amazing book that takes the unreliable narrator trope Wolfe is so well known for to the nth degree. Our hero has a head injury that prevents him from remembering anything from day to day and has to keep a written record of his adventures which seems to include meeting several greek deities (although this might be the head injury manifesting). As a result the book frequently leaps forward in time with little warning. I really enjoyed this concept can imagine some people would hate it so fair warning. As usual Wolfe's writing is amazing and will keep you reading even if his style of storytelling is deliberately inaccessible to the reader.
