The dark, decadent underworld of New Orleans comes alive when a human unwittingly binds herself to the devious prince of the Unseelie Court. To win her freedom, she must join the Wild Hunt and fight her way through a series of deadly rites -- without losing her head, or her heart, in the process. Don’t miss Filthy Rich Fae, the first in a new romantasy series from New York Times bestselling author Geneva Lee, for fans of A Touch of Darkness and A Court of Thorns and Roses.

Filthy Rich Fae

"In the shadows of New Orleans, the Gage family rules both the humans and Unseelie Court. But as secrets as dangerous as their Fae magic jeopardize their reign, a new threat emerges: love. When social worker Cate discovers her young client has fallen in with the mysterious local crime lord Lachlan Gage, she offers him a bargain and unwittingly binds herself to the prince of the Unseelie Court. Lachlan is as charismatic as he is deadly, and the fae underworld is as seductive as it is dangerous. To win her freedom, she must join the Wild Hunt, the yearly festival that pits her against other captives in a series of ancient rites meant for the ruthless, seductive fae s entertainment and their insatiable appetites."--

✨ Initial thoughts: I felt a sense of this could happen in our world if we had Fae. I was immediately drawn in by the FMC. 💭 What I loved: Listening to the audiobook, it was and was listen. The writing style was visual and kept me interested until near the end. I kind of drifted off. 🪞 What didn’t work for me: Near the end it dragged out for me. And I realised I wanted more of the sister. She was so cool. 🌙 Favorite moment or quote: When she drank all the ambrosia had be giggling. 🍵 Overall vibe: It was a fast paced, enemies to lovers romance. But also, great seeing a nurse as a MC.

Had the bones of a decent fae romance, but very boring overall.

Cate thought she knew darkness. As a trauma nurse, she had witnessed the worst of humanity. But nothing—not the blood, the violence, or the despair—could have prepared her for the fae underworld. A realm where beauty is a weapon, desire is a trap, and mortals who stray too far don’t return.

She almost didn’t.

Until Lachlan Gage—shadowed, ruthless, and feared even among his own kind—bound her to him with a deadly bargain. As the prince of New Orleans and ruler of the Nether Court, he is as much a curse as he is salvation. And with the Wild Hunt at his heels and war stirring between the fae courts, even his protection may not be enough to save her.

Because Cate is more than just his reluctant mortal. She is wanted. Coveted. And the prince of the Hallow Court will do anything to claim her.

But something ancient is rising in the dark, warping fae magic into something unnatural and cruel. It has nothing to do with Cate’s past—or so she tells herself. Even though the ring left behind by her mother whispers otherwise.

There is only one thing more dangerous than the fae who would kill for her.

The fae who would die for her.

And Lachlan Gage has never been one to lose.
