2.5 stars. I liked this book, however it certainly was not my favorite. I feel like the author did more telling than showing. I wasn’t in love with any of the characters. The story felt slow and long, and I just couldn’t fully get into it. I like to read books that make me feel as if I entered the world in which it takes place, and unfortunately, this one didn’t do that.

A downstairs neighbor seems to keep getting annoyed with her insensitive and disruptive upstairs neighbor until she goes missing. Then she seems to be the only one concerned with her disappearance.

The book was a little slow getting started but did get better as it got a little more suspenseful.

"I heard Emily before I saw her."- From the first sentence I was intrigued in this story. 
Suzie is still grieving her husband's death  and is living in their London apartment. She is sad, and she refuses to go home and leave London, the city she hates. 
She is never at peace because her neighbour Emily is too loud. She can hear her all the time. 
After Emily's birthday party she barely hears her until she doesn't hear her at all. She becomes concerned and wants to help her after the police fails to do so. 
I liked how we can see the character development, the Suzie from the beginning was sad and refused to change. Now, she helped to solve Emily's case, and she finally went home. 
It was sad reading about both of them, but I'm still happy that in a way Suzie got her happy ending. When no one was there to care about Emily, Suzie decided she was the one that is going to do so. I'm sad that Emily died, because it would be interesting seeing the two of them after everything.
