3.5 stars I really love the whole idea around this comic even if I'm not exactly in the right age range. The representation is refreshing and I really hope young girls are picking these up! The art and story are so easy to digest.

Unfortunately, volume 2 of Princeless was a big let-down from the first. Get Over Yourself was not nearly as funny and endearing. It also focused less on character development than the first, and contained dubious moral conversations about beauty that didn't really go anywhere. Still a decent series for kids, but after a strong start, I can't say I was very impressed. I should also note that this was one of the worst put together graphic novels I have seen. When single comics are bound together, one of benefits is that the extraneous material like ads are cut. In Princeless 2, all of the singles were reproduced in full, ads and unnecessary titles and all. There were times when two identical pages would be side by side, and yet the editor of this book didn't feel the need to fix this. Furthermore, the ads did not change, so they appeared multiple times throughout the book. The design of this book was so utterly lazy that it did diminish my enjoyment of it, and I was saddened by the departure from the original formatting.

Loving this comic series. Sure it's for children, but it is so well written and fun to read. There are a lot of different little mysteries going on and Addrienne's quest gets more dangerous and complicated at every turn. Really fun series and I can't wait to read more.
