He's a troubled young actor, Hollywood's newest heartthrob, struggling with fame as the star of the latest superhero franchise. Through scandal after scandal, addiction on top of addiction, a flurry of paparazzi hunt him as he fights to conquer his demons. She's a single mother, assistant manager at a grocery store, existing in monotony with her five-year-old daughter. Every day when she goes to work, lurid tabloids surround her, the face of a notorious bad boy haunting her from their covers. A man and a woman, living vastly different lives, but that wasn't always the case. Once, they were just a boy and a girl who bonded over comic books and fell in love unexpectedly. When Kennedy Garfield met Jonathan Cunningham back in high school, she knew he had all the makings of a tragic hero. With stars in his eyes, and her heart on her sleeve, the pair ran away together to follow their dreams. But dreams, sometimes, turn into nightmares. Now, years later, the only thing they share is a daughter—one who has no idea her father plays her favorite superhero. But Jonathan is desperate to make amends, and at the top of his list is the woman who gave up everything for him and the little girl he hasn't yet met.

”i wasn't accusing you of cheating. i just wanted to know how long it took you to move on.” ”oh well, that's an easy one,” he says. ”it hasn't happened.” no words for this book. it was so good. one of the best angsty book i have ever read. the way kennedy and jonathan are literally soulmates, i am not kidding y'all. second chance romance hitting so well. she went from hating and pitying him to trusting him again. and he went from being a drunk addict to being such a good father and a good boyfriend. it's not always that you read a book like that. when kennedy said that the greatest lesson that she has ever learnt is that “don't let anyone else be the main character of your story”, it was her life experience. also, i giggled when jonathan said how “she is the queen and he is a commoner"

This was such a beautifully written love story. I love how the love interest wasn’t forgiven immediately, he definitely had to do a lot of grovelling. It alludes to the harsh realities of Hollywood and the negative effects it has on people. I was instantly connected to the characters, and their adorable 5-year-old daughter definitely stole the show. I would definitely recommend this book!

when i heard that this book is a second chance romance i literally added this book to my tbr ASAP! in this book we got jonathan an actor and kennedy a single mother. okay first of all, i adore this book so much like i literally can’t stop thinking about it. i’m so glad it’s a dual pov like in second chance romance we need dual pov to know what both of them thinking of each other. the author really did great with the writing. the plot was okay but i just need more grovelling. LIKE CMON WE NEED MORE ANGSTY ALSO. i cried but i need to sobbed. the characters development omg so great. and the daughter omg she sooo cute like she’s the main character in this book. overall, this book was filled with every raw emotions, hope, love, happiness and redemption. i just need everyone to read this once in their life. there’s something why i couldn’t give it five stars. but still i love this book and the characters.

4.5 Stars I need you to know… that even when I was completely fucked up, I never once stopped loving you.” This was such a sweet and emotional second chance romance!! Also, with a really cute kid and what ended up being an incredible family! I'm so happy to have experienced this broken relationship being repaired and a father being reunited for the first time with his daughter, and family🤧💕 This book was one of those ones that got stronger as it went along and by the end, I was completely and utterly endeared to Jonathan, Kennedy, and Madison. These are two people who fell in love as teenagers and shared a beautiful bond at a young age. Kennedy was the first person who never let Jonathan give up on his dreams but having them happen came at a cost, and it was that cost later destroyed their relationship. It's been years now and Jonathan is a very successful actor while Kennedy lives a more modest life, only making just enough to be able to support their daughter and herself on her own. She doesn't want his money or apology for how things ended, only that if he comes back into her life this time he's not going to end up messing with their daughter's heart. I love how Jonathan made no excuses and completely owned up to his mistakes. He knew how badly he fucked up and worked very hard to right his wrongs. His love for Kennedy and his daughter was unwavering which was so beautiful to read about. In the past, he made empty promises while fighting his addiction but this time when he got clean and sober he wasn't going to let the opportunity pass him by and was willing to do everything to prove it. Likewise, Kennedy was strong and highly protective of her daughter and her heart. As much as she wanted to believe Jonathan had changed and finally got his act together she wasn't going to give in without him really proving he was here to stay. If you like some good and much needed groveling this is definitely your book because it's so satisfying how there were no shortcuts! There is this really beautiful moment where she writes about knowing he will be the best father when the time is right that had me wanting to tear up big time. If I had one complaint it would be the transition between past and present wasn't very smooth imo and it took a while for me to get used to those transitions. Also, I know it was done deliberately to show Kennedy always casting herself in the shadows, but the writing style for it bothered me at first and made the past scenes harder to get into. I really did love all the multi meanings and understanding after reading the significance of the title. All in all, this is a beautiful story of love, with real soulmates, and when a wonderful message about finding your way back home when you're lost. I really don't think I will forget it anytime soon and anyone who loves a good emotional read with a beautiful romance HIGHLY HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!

OH MY GOD. OKAY. This book easily made its way into my top favorite books. Like seriously. Everything, and I mean everything, you need in life, is written here in this book. It was all heartfelt, beautiful, I shed tears. Everything. I lived, laughed, loved. Kennedy, my love. Jonathan, MY MAN. Also, I LOVE Jack. He has my heart. Like I fell hard.

It was pretty nice. I hadn’t seen this book on booktok or bookstagram and I decided to give it a try. I liked the characters and the storyline. At first I wasn’t sure if I was a fan of the flashback chapters, but near the ending I started to appreciate it more. The only major flaw was the length of the book if you ask me. I think it could have been way shorter.

behind every man is an even GREATER woman!! Kennedy Garfield literally made Jonathan's acting career!! She did it alllll, she worked her ass off for him to get his dream!! (I'm tired for her) I wasn't expecting this to be emotional, I thought this was a cute celebrity romance. omg I hella teared up, especially when Kennedy realized that not only her dream was being overshadowed but also herself while following Jonathan's and that goodbye chapter before chapter 29 got me -tear streaming down my face. I loved the cohesive storyline!! Honestly, I wish there was more groveling on Jonathan's part. At first, I didn't understand why everyone was mad at Jonathan but I get it now and tbh they forgave him too easily. like what he said also hurt me. I would love to see Kennedy live out her dream in the end to become a writer!! All Jonathan gave Kennedy was a pen and a notebook .... like she made you into a star and gave you a kid. The epilogue was nice but I would like to see Kennedy's dream since most of the book was about Jonathan's dream. Kinda wish we saw more of Kennedy and Meghan's friendship, especially how they became close.

OMG this book! I’ve probably read 50 romance books this year but this book is my most favourite - possibly ever. I didn’t expect to like second chance romance - but this book has changed my mind. The character development, the pining, the remorse. All the characters were written perfectly. This book is seriously underrated. Go read it if you haven’t already. If you have, we should start a Ghosted Book Fan Club together or something.

this one was beautiful. art. will be added to the louvre in a few short days. i have to hop on the second chance romance train because now i see what y'all were talking about. this story was so beautifully written, i shed a couple tears while reading (which is something i never ever ever do.) everything was so put together and correct and lovely, i couldn't hate a single thing. for example, i normally cannot stand time jumps, but with this one, i was actively waiting for the moment we the people would see inside kennedy's journal. wanna give props to my brother, jonathan, my twin was TRYING! he really was!!! i was there watching him check the records, your honor. anywhosie, in all seriousnes, i don't think i can express how wonderful this book truly was in complex, thought out words; i'm a little too silly right now i can say it was an experience and a half. thank you j.m darhower for gracing the planet with this one.

I thought I would like Ghosted more than I actually did. That’s not to say that it wasn’t a good read, because it was, but I never truly connected with any of the characters and at points found myself tempted to dnf.

O sea...
