           Their first meal together is just rice. Very nicely made rice, but still just rice. It's a humble start but enough to cement a friendship between teacher and student and student and child. It also helps to put father and daughter on a healthier path of recovery and grieving.

This volume also expands the character roster. We meed Kotori's mother (briefly). We meed a man who sometimes babysits Tsumugi. We meet children at the daycare and we meet Kotori's best friend from high school.

I was expecting a cute, happy-go-lucky manga about a man bonding with his daughter through learning how to cook. It was all going well until they introduced the students. As soon as Kotori entered as a new character, it started to get weird. I understand that some people justify it as being just a friendship, but it really doesn't seem like it. Instead, it looks like it's building up to eventually becoming romantic, and I can't stand to see this happen again. I may check out the next volume to see if this doesn't happen.
 
I don't recommend this manga, but if you believe that you can see the weird interactions between Kotori and her teacher, go ahead.

Another manga that's secretly a recipe/food manga. The father and daughter are affable enough, even if the father feels like an empty, everyman protagonist. Tsumugi is cute.

The story's true focus is on the heroine Kotori. She's one of the dad's students, and through circumstances, Kotori ends up helping to take care of Tsumugi through cooking. I'm not too sure what to make of Kotori. Her mother is never around, but it seems like she's just busy rather than grossly neglectful. Kotori seems constantly lonely, but in the last chapter, we meet one of her friends, who's just been conveniently absent all this time.

I just dunno how I'd feel if it turns out to be a story about a teacher who has a relationship with one of his students.

I wonder what the title means. At first, I thought it'd be a pun on the protagonists' names, but Iida to Inazuma (thunder) is kind of a stretch. I know Tsumugi means "to weave". It's an enjoyable slice of life story so far.

Edit: I'll say one thing, Kotori has really big, well-defined eyes that are pretty.

Honestly, the story is mostly set dressing for the cooking session in each chapter. It's alright, and the story about raising children is fresh enough to stay amusing.

Liked this one. The school trip/visit to the grandparents broke up the monotony. Maybe this is that kind of story?

I liked this one. Poor Kotori is getting less spotlight, but Tsumugi and her father's struggles dealing with the loss of the mother is pretty interesting reading. The gender flipped short at the end was pretty good too.

The quiet adventures of Tsumugi and her dad continue. We get glimpses of Kotori struggling with her post-school plans, but it feels like the interactions between the families are sparse in this volume?

Instead, we have Tsumugi learning how to make friends and other stuff.

On a more positive note, the voice actors listed at the end for the anime adaption sound great.

More adventures of Tsumugi and Kotori. It's fun to see Tsumugi growing up and dealing with her classmates. Kotori is also growing up and preparing to enter culinary school or whatever.

The stuff with Kotori teasing her parents as they potentially get back together is fun.

I hear the series is coming to an end, which feels right.

Such an adorable little manga about a single father and his daughter. The story really warmed my heart. I loved the fact that at the end of every chapter there was the recipe of the meal they cooked together.
This is the perfect manga for food lovers. I am so excited to pick up the next volume.
