I had to read this book for my dissertation, and I actually really liked it! It was really funny and witty and I really enjoyed the way it portrayed the Asian-American experience, but it just wasn't a stand-out for me.

ugh, i loved it. i adore gish jen’s pacing and tone. vivid, funny, culturally flavorful, warm, irreverent. perfection 🤌🏻🧘🏻‍♀️🥲
