As I said before, it did take me a bit to get into this book [not because of the actual book but because my focus was elsewhere]. However, this book was an emotional rollercoaster for me. While reading, I experienced everything from genuine happiness and tender love to fear and devastation...

God I LOVE books with creatures which bond to the main character just because they’re special 😂 Enter our Shadow wolf, Soraya, who instantly connects to Alex just because she’s special! But I seriously love wolves in books [my favourite type of book creature].

KAIDEN! He’s just everything you want in a book boyfriend [or at this point a book crush 🤷‍♀️]. The whole “meeting the parents” scene was just so special and provide a much needed look into Kaiden’s past.

The last few chapters of this book were honestly devastating to read. I can’t believe Niyx is dead and I honestly don’t know what else to say as the war and burial scenes was really disturbing to read especially as Alex’s reaction felt so real.
