DC Comics took a bold step and renumbered the longest-running monthly comic, "Action Comics," to #1 for the first time since 1938 as part of the DC Comics--The New 52 event. With this renumbering comes a new creative team featuring comics legend Grant Morrison and fan-favorite artist Rag Morales. Just as I had resigned myself to the fact that the Superman comics had stalled permanently I gave this a chance. What Grant Morrison, Rags Morales and Andy Kubert has done completely restores my faith in the character I fell in love with as a small child. It's a bold and daring move. Stripping away the bloated storytelling of later years and reinvigorating the character with a fresh slate. Stripping away a large part of the invincibility and bringing back a more vulnerable, yet Herculean, Kal-El. This is not just a love letter to the mightiest comic book character of all time, this is new life thrust into those kryptonian veins.... He is back!

As always, Superman has been one of the greatest heroes to read about. The stories featured in this comic were exciting, fast paced, and the art definitely brought this character to life. The comic was also a quick read and had an enjoyable plot line.
