New York in the summer of 1978 was a festering pot of arson, stabbings, prostitution, and graffiti, all of it chronicled in trademark hysterics by the New York Post.

I had no marketable skills and so was quickly scooped up by the Canadian government.

The door handle had jammed. He banged and shouted, but with the noise and the music, no one could hear him. He was about to give up when a man’s voice said, “Stand back!” Henry hopped up onto the seat. There was a loud noise as the man on the other side kicked in the door. It was Jean-Claude Van Damme.
