Gypsy Blood

Kristy Cunning β€” 2019
I'm not all that special, really. Or uncommon. I'm sure there are a lot of girls with old gypsy blood who see the dead, have killer cults hunting their family, and turn into something that gets scary when they panic. Yep. Completely unoriginal, if I do say so myself.Move along. Nothing to see here. Nope. I'm just an ordinary girl.I wish people would believe that.I've been labeled as one thing or another for most of my life:Death Girl.Crazy Gypsy Girl.Gothic Chick.Monster...It took my mother's death for me to finally start getting answers about what's really been going on. Unfortunately, most of the answers come from men...who aren't just men. Somehow, I've gone and landed myself in a world truly filled with monsters, and I'm starting to think this is where I should have been all along.Only...I don't understand what's going on. I'm walking into the middle of a story that's thousands of years old, and I'm the new girl on the block who doesn't have a clue how this world even works. My only guides happen to be the most lethal of the bunch. They decide who lives or dies. They decide who gets stabbed or tortured.Yeah...I've gone and drawn attention to myself, and the ones paying attention are the ones everyone else seems to fear. How do these things always happen to me?**Reverse Harem**Language warning**Sexual content**Dark Humor

So I listened to the audiobook and I found it hard to follow since they used the same male voice for all four male characters without and real change in tone when the switch between characters happened. Now Anna the insane ghost was probably the only reason I didn’t DNF. She was fucking hilarious πŸ˜‚. I will be listening to the other books in this series just to finish it because if nothing else it was entertaining and for the most part enjoyable.

I don’t think I’ve ever laughed out loud as much as I did while reading this novel! Loved the characters and how the author balances the serious with the hilarious. Definitely one of my favorite reads this year.

Came for the reverse harem. Stayed for Anna. A bit campy, but fun to read. I quite enjoy Anna- she is hysterical!

I wasn't very invested in this book at the beginning, and it was incredibly slow. However, I did end up really enjoying it. The twist at the end was so predictable though. Also, there is barely any steaminess in this book. It was one of the slowest slow-burns I've read which is surprising considering it's reverse harem, but I also enjoy the fact that the author takes her time in building the relationships between the characters. I'm really excited for the rest of the series, and I'll probably enjoy the following books much more.

3⭐️ I stumbled on this accidentally, and was intrigued by the concept of gypsies, as its not usual PNR or RH. I instantly loved Violet and her ghost, Anna, they are entertaining to read, Violet is very different from your standard heroine. The Alphas in this I found to be a little underwhelming, and slightly annoying, but you know there is a lot of back story to develop with them. It’s not the most well written book I’ve read, and the changed in POV get a bit confusing at times. But overall I really enjoyed this and will go straight on to the next one!
