The Book of Dreams

Abridged English translation of Hungarian novelist Gyula Krudy's best-selling work, published on the 100th anniversary of its first edition in 1920. This book explains the meaning of dreams and the things that one encounters in dreams, arranged alphabetically from Acacia Tree to Zinc. Krudy draws his research from Hungarian and Russian dream interpretation texts dating back to 1759, interviews with his soothsayer grandmother, the writings of Sigmund Freud and Freud's Hungarian contemporary, Dr. Sandor Ferenczi, and pillow talk from Krudy's mistresses.
