Cancer Prevention From the Laboratory to the Clinic : Implications of Genetic, Molecular, and Preventive Research
This volume directs attention to the goal of chemoprevention. Topics include analyses of at-risk populations, problems in early detection, experimental approaches to cancer prevention, and preventative trials. The most recent approaches to chemoprevention are highlighted, with a particular focus on the use of diet-derived compounds. Special emphasis is placed on the prevention of breast, colon, and prostate cancer.
