I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader for this book. I am so glad that I was introduced to this book and able to read it so soon. I absolutely loved meeting Phoenix Ashburn. She is an amazing character and the story had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. 

This story follows Phoenix as she hunts vampires as one of the best vampire hunters out there. Throughout this story, you get to follow Phoenix as she not only hunts vampires but manages to get entangled in vampire society, and is put through situations that have her questioning what she wants out of life and who she is as a person. 

And let's not forget to mention the absolutely delicious man candy that is Dorian Sterling. He is the leader of the vampires, absolutely ruthless, and sexy as can be. 

This book went from great fight scenes that had me wanting to cheer fo rmore, to emotional scenes that had me fighting back tears. I really could not tear myself away once I started reading. It is an amazing example of a fantasy book with a strong female main character, something that I loved.

I absolutely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fantasy with a strong FMC, and I can't wait for the next one to come out.
