Jenny Casey (aka Maker) is approaching 50 and feels about 80 thanks to 30 year-old, archaic tech that replaced one of her arms and more following a piloting accident. She can still fight, however, and throws a mean punch with her bionic arm. This ex-military warrant officer helps out her neighbors in a rough part of Connecticut. But now she needs help from them. Someone, someone very powerful and persistent, is after her. So many story threads are left hanging at the end of this first novel, that I’m guessing it was a multi-book deal from the start. Fortunately I like many of the characters and will seek out the rest of the series.
