Handle With Care

Didn’t like it AS MUCH as the first three, but still enjoyed it quite a bit. Was a little more dramatic than the others.

Helena Hunting has brought us another book in the Shacking Up series. And it is the mysterious Lincoln.

Lincoln has been mention about before in the previous books. And I know that I got really intrigue about his backstory. And we finally get it. Lincoln is the most level-headed person in his family. And I kinda feel sorry for him when his family bring him back in. His father death may be unfortunate but Lincoln has complicated feelings toward his father that it was totally unexpected for him to be in charge. It throws everything off for him especially since he does not care for it. But he has no way out until he sorts everything through and it does not hurt that he has Wren helping him through. 

Wren was a tough character to like. Per say, I feel like I could not connect to her. She has good quality toward the end. But I just could not like her. She was too much for some reasons. If she could have loose up a bit, maybe. I just do not know. I tried my best but I just can't. It's bad enough that Lincoln needs to run a company that he does not care for and your adding more to the mix especially invading his personal space. Like no, just stop. If she can only be honest from the beginning, everything would be okay instead messy misunderstanding in the middle. 

Handle With Care does bring up Lincoln closer to family per say and he does fall in love. You cannot fault who you fall in love.

I have read many of Helena Hunting's books and I have read every book in this series so far.



I love the writing and I find her books are super quick to read.



Handle With Care is another quick easy read that got me laughing out loud and I just couldn't put it down because the story is so darn good. 



You don't really have to read the previous books but I do recommend you do because you get to meet previous characters and you will want their story.

When I first started this book, I did not have any idea it was part of a series (that my library doesn't have the rest of). However, it felt like it can be a stand alone and I didn't lose anything from the story by not reading books prior to it. 

This was incredibly average for me, and my least favorite of the authors books that I've read thus far (although this is only book #3 for me for this author). There were some wording situations that made me think it was rushed and edits were missed. The redeeming quality of this was the multi-perspective. I love reading thoughts of multiple characters over the course of the book. 

I wanted to love this, but nothing really stood out to me as spectacular. It was honestly forgettable, but I will continue to read Helena Hunting's works.
