OAKLEEEEEEYYY AND AVAAAAAA MY PAREEEEENTS I LOVE YOOOOU!!!!!!!!! 

Who doesn't love a good slow burn based on a solid foundation? I just enjoy reading how the relationship between the mmc and fmc blossomed. Lee and Ava spent hours chatting when they first met. They didn't know each other yet they spoke like they've been friends for years. That kind of chemistry is magical! Months later, they formally met when Lee moved to BC to play for a new team. Slowly, they got to know each other better then boooom! 

Reading this after HGM made me understand why Maddox was built that way. He had such amazing and loving parents in Lee and Ava. They love with all their heart. They put family first. 

PS Can i just say how much I love Oakley and Adam's friendship? Lee knew Adam loved Ava, but no toxic masculine shit happened in this book! There was simply acknowledgement and appreciation towards the friendship Adam and Ava have. Lee respected it in such a way I wish men irl acted towards platonic girl-boy relationships.

i recently read one of Hannah's new books 'Craving the Player' without actually realising that Braden's brother has a book in this series. of course i had to read the series properly, starting with Oakley and Ava's.

from reading Hannah's newer work, i can tell a difference in the writing but for a debut novel, this really is amazing. the characters and emotions were described in such detail, it really felt like you were in the book living the story!

i never thought sports romance would be my thing but hockey college romances have become a fave of mine for one simple reason: the guy wanting his girl to wear his jersey. i don't even know why. that's just adorable to me.

the characters in this book are just incredible, even the side characters. everyone needs best friends like Matt and Morgan. 

i love love LOVE how Oakley isn't your stereotypical asshole playboy hockey player. i think he's one of the softest book boyfriends i have ever read about and despite his underlying anger issues, he is an absolute angel.

Ava's past and home issues seriously had me in tears. this girl is too special to have been through so much. she understandably has bad trust issues but she is so independent and has such a strong mind-set it's so refreshing to read.

thank you Hannah for your amazing books. i've read 2 of yours so far and i'm obsessed with both and you! now onto Tyler and Gracie's!
