Welcome to Pine Grove, CT, your new Pride headquarters, where the sapphics are ready to be romanced. Tess is spending her last summer break of grad school working for Deja Brew as a barista and sketching as much as she can in the town square. She knows who she is, what she wants, and where she wants to go, that is, until one afternoon when an impossibly beautiful woman sits next to her and offers to share her picnic. She shares her meal, asks if Tess plans to attend the upcoming Pride festival, makes Tess question just about everything she knew about herself, and leaves without so much as offering her name, but as Tess packs up to leave herself, she finds a personal journal left behind in the wake of this mystery woman's demolition of Tess's sense of self. A very innocent mission to return her journal turns into a total crisis of identity as Tess falls for the woman behind the words and pursues a desperate search to find her again.
