I never thought I would like this book so much. I was pretty bored for the first 20% of the book, but then I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

the first book i read by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward was amazing and that is kinda what i expected from this.
I couldnt finish it and I usually dont dnf books. Its just not it for me, sorry.

Getting my soap fix ...

I’ve given up on soaps but not these books! I love the soapy twists tied up with a HEA! This book is no exception. Sadie and Sebastian were long overdue for some happiness and glad that they found it. A lovable cast of side characters featuring a kid and dog made this an irresistible read. Couldn’t put down!

           Capaz más tarde le baje una estrella porque justo en este momento no estoy siendo muy objetiva que digamos.

Finalmente, siento que he podido hacer las paces con estas autoras; luego de Dirty Letters, siento que habían dejado la vara muy alta, y los siguientes libros que leí de ellas (tanto en conjunto como en solitario) no fueron de mi agrado y muchas de esas historias las terminé odiando.

Pero, este libro hizo que pasara ese ✨milagro✨, además… que me terminó dando muchas vibes a DL de alguna manera y esa era un formula segura para que me terminara encantando.

A ver, esta historia es un poco loca, con mucho drama o tragedia, pero en el buen sentido: no hay drama innecesario, el climax de esta historia de amor no es que los protagonistas se terminan separando, por lo que… una vez que Sebastián y Sadie se quedan juntos, no se vuelven a separar más y me encantó eso 🫶🏻

Ya he dicho que me toca una tecla sensible las historias que meten el tema del cancer, acá… hay bastante de eso, ya que las madres de Sadie y Birdie murieron de ello, y el padre de Sadie fue diagnosticado también en algún momento. No diré que me desagrado, pero en serio ya no disfruto leer sobre ello.

Qué estrés fue todo eso de que Sadie pudiera ser la madre biología de Birdie (porque en algún momento ella donó sus ovulos y justamente Sebastián y Amanda tuvieron problemas para concebir y recurrieron a la IA y etc etc etc) y literal me tenía estresada que Vi & Penelope tuvieran ese misterio hasta el final (que por lo que entendí, Sadie no era la madre biológica al final 🤷🏻‍♀️ así que me estresé para nada)

Y si, en esta historia todo pasa muy rápido, de golpe, capaz hay momentos absurdos y ridículos, y es el destino el responsable de todas las cosas que pasan acá y así, pero me gustó mucho esta historia, en verdad. Fue una buena lectura para variar.

This author duo has been a favorite of mine for awhile because they write quick and cute romances. Happily Letter After was cute and I really liked the idea of the story. Sadie a writer at a magazine receives a dear Santa letter from a cute girl named birdie asking for a few things including a female friend for her father. I really liked Sadie and Sebastian together and the cute moments we got with birdie. While I did really like the way this started, after awhile it started to get a little ridiculous to the point I was thinking, what adult would do this? Overall, it was cute and quick. 3.5/5 stars.

Happily Letter After is a cutesy romance between a writer and a restuarant owner(who is a widower and has a child). I loved the plot, the conversations, and how the events progressed stealthily without feeling like it was being rushed. This book deserves a solid 4.0 stars and is a romance novel everyone should be reading!

This was such and amazing and lovely story, I started it yesterday and I couldn’t put it down. I love reading Vi and Penelope’s books and together they create wonderful stories.

Birdie was definitely my favorite character, she was so fun and I loved how grown up she appeared, her letters to “Santa” were the best part. and Sadie was the perfect addition to their family, so everything worked out at the end.
