how am i supposed to read another dark harry fic when none of the others even compare to this one?

I read Duplicity after finishing the Malignant book series and the main thing I have to say about Duplicity is disappointing. I was expecting it to be as good maybe even as better than Malignant and while the beginning of Duplicity was good I think that over time it felt like it was drawn out, Harry and Aven's love story was great in some senses (how it formed and developed and the way it was drawn together at the end) but there was way too much sex which took away a lot from the book and plot. I found other parts of the plot to be lacking and towards the end it felt like random things were kind of just thrown into the mix. We barely get to know any of the other characters and if we did they were extremely underdeveloped. Don't even get me started on the whole hypocrisy of Aven's abusive ex boyfriend and Harry. Harry does things to Aven that are just as bad as things Ryan does but Aven continuously forgives him for things that are just extremely concerning. I would not recommend at all and it's definitely become extremely overhyped due to tiktok. I was so disappointed because the Malignant Series was so good compared to this and I expected this work to be better since it was one of her newer works. The whole book feels like 3 different books frantically mashed together which should never be the case. While this is a wattpad book so the standards are lower it just doesn't compare at all to her other works which are already aren't great.
