This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance Hard and Fast is the second book in the "Fast Track" series and the more that I read this author the more I am getting more drawn into her work. Hard and Fast is a book that has been sitting on my kindle WAY longer than I expected it to. I had purchased it earlier this year but I was never in the mood for it until now and yes I needed a racer romance and every time I read one I am reminded of why I love these books so much. And even though I probably liked the first book a bit more, I still found Hard and Fast a delightful read that charmed my socks off in many respects. Hard and Fast is a story that begins with a heroine, Imogen, who is very logical when she looks at relationships in a way. She is very curious about racers and specifically one in particular. But she finds the relationships between racers and their wives so unique and wants to learn more just on a scientific level. What Imogen doesn't expect is to find her own racer and she is all in without knowing what she is getting herself fully into. Ty McCordle, is an experienced racer and loves what he does with his full heart. But when his current girlfriend is driving him crazy, he decided to end it but never expected to be so drawn into Imogen. She is a mix of sassy sweetness and curiousity scientists that turns him on in more ways than he is willing to let on. Ty is driven in all the ways that matters, he may be dyslexic but doesn't let that stop him in any way. He is willing to do what it takes to fight for Imogen and what they are building together. Hard and Fast is a story I was continually drawn into, and I will admit that even though the heroine kinda drove me batty at times, I found her real and entertaining. She doesn't hide behind a facade at all, and says exactly what is on her mind but she definitely needs a man like Ty who shows her that men aren't bad and the importance of not being bitterness because of a bad experience with them. I love how Ty is so driven and capable and doesn't let women walk all over him. He stands up for the male species . I really respected how he treats Imogen and how he just puts "full speed ahead" type of energy into the relationship with her. He doesn't hold back and I respected that from a hero. The writing within this story is so engaging and I didn't feel like I ever wanted to put this book down at all. Its such a sexy and charming sports romance that I couldn't get enough of. And while it definitely has its issues, its has so many elements that has you falling in love right along beside Ty and Imogen. Overall I found Hard and Fast to be a stunning story of spicy love, taking chances and finding love in the most unexpected place.
I loved this book. I loved it. It had everything I loved in a story. I am a sucker for the brain & the jock types of stories. Imogen & Ty were so cute together and they sizzled too!
