I really liked this book. I think Harlan Coben always writes characters that feel like they could be real people and this is no different
This book was a page turner, packed with action and it was a great first read of the year, I couldn’t put it down!
I would have given it five stars, but at some point during the book we meet the characters of Max and Sarah and they were very difficult to like. I couldn’t wait for their parts to be over, to be honest.

⭐️4 One of the most entertaining, compelling, and action-packed thrillers I've read in the past few months. I was hooked from the first page of the book as we get to follow the actions of David Burroughs, a man wrongly convicted of killing his three-year-old son, and Max Bernstein and Sarah Jablonski, two FBI agents on his trail. Max and Sarah were hilarious to me, probably because of their comedy duo dynamic together. However, I understand that others may find them tacky and annoying. A strong cast of supporting characters also contributes greatly to the story. You will be on the edge of your seat as you read this tense rollercoaster of bravery, danger, uncertainty, hopelessness and recklessness. Some multi-layered, intriguing twists occur along the way that don't feel forced or unearned, leading to a neat, expected ending that feels slightly rushed and needs more action and tension. For me, that's what made the book fall short of a five-star rating. Overall, a well-written, well-executed, solid thriller that I highly recommend. The only thing I would advise you to remember is to suspend your disbelief in every way you can. Once you do, you'll enjoy this book a lot.
