Harlen Coben writes a great story, and this one draws the reader in,as most of his books do. However, I felt like he was trying too hard on this one. The issue of parents rights to protect their children and their children's rights of privacy are an intriguing starting point, but it appears that everything a parent could be concerned about was occurring....and worse. The climax of action requires split second timing and a lot of coincidence to tie so many story lines up so neatly. Some connections seemed really tenuous to me. Some aspects of the case were solved by luck or maybe psychic messages rather than actual police work. Coben needed a better editor on this one.

Hold Tight by Harlan Coben Compared to other Harlan Coben books, this one wasn't as good. There was no amazing, shocking twist at the end, it was a bit predictable. The author seemed a bit too preoccupied in debating whether it was morally right for the parents to spy on their child. He should've focused more on the crimes being committed.
