I had to take constant chapter breaks to just get away from the fmc, she was exhausting and absolutely should have been unalived multiple times.

i actually enjoyed this, but she was honestly pathetic. and he wasn’t as Big and as Bad as he thought he was. this was like reading a terrible CW paranormal show,  never going to win any awards but has a very popular fanbase and will go on longer than necessary. (this book was definitely too long)

Harley is an amazing author, their story telling abilities are incredible. In her soul to take you cry, laugh, love, and hate. And I mean that seriously… I literally found myself hating the antagonist with all my heart haha. I fell in love with this couple and cannot wait to start the second book.

It took me a long time to get into this one, but it was different than others I’d read in storyline, so I kept going. The end made it worth it- very satisfying while still leaving room for a sequel. Raelynn and Leon are interesting characters, and while some of Rae’s decisions are maddening, they’re still believable.

just putting in on the "paused" shelf it bc I was taking way too long to finish it but I read 65% and its an really really amazing book I just unfortunately I lost motivation to finish it but I hope that in the future I finish it.

I love me a good dark romance with horror elements. This was a fun read for me. The only thing that stops this book from being a perfect read is the FMC. Rae is so dumb sometimes I swear. She annoyed me a bit with being TSTL. BUT the saving grace is Leon. I really enjoyed him as a character. Rae didn't stop me from enjoying the book overall. I look forward to reading the next book.

Umm idk how to feel abt this. I didn't really enjoy it the way I thought I would. The story was rushed with no interesting plot, the smut ehh, the fl being weak and dumb while the ml strong and smart bruh.
Ngl I kept skipping paragraphs just to know what will happen after.

To this day my favorite dark romance and part of my favorite (soon to be) trilogy. The characters are addicting. The book has a good page-turning plot that goes along with the smut. Didn't break my heart and I constantly re-read it.

I LOVED THIS BOOK. Check trigger warnings, it's got a lot of dark content and won't be for everyone.

The MC was a little dumb (she hunts ghosts for a living but didn't think doing a cult ritual in a spooky fucking church was a bad idea?), but I loved how she was written. The banter between her and her love interest was so fun. The instant chemistry. She is also a goth nerd, which might be why I'm so drawn to her.

AND LEON. Oh man. The way he was a cinnamon roll for her but was still a demon (in bed..)... loved it. I would have sold my soul to him in a heartbeat. The spice was top tier and the plot was wildly entertaining. If you are into cult horror AND smut... you should check this book out!

Her Soul To Take was a story that I was introduced to via Instagram and Booktube. This one is all over there and some consider it a "Monster romance". I wouldn't really. The hero is a demon, so I would protray this as a dark paranormal romance. It definitely has plenty of spooky vibes with some mythological elements as well as demons that we see implemented within the storyline. I found the precept of the story to be quite fascinating and I am intrigued to read the trilogy of these books here. Now while I enjoyed it, I am not sure if it deserves the hype. Its a neat and really "cool" book, but not five star material, at least not for me. I enjoyed it, but the pacing was in and out of the story and while I enjoyed the romance and the unique bantering between these two here. Now it definitely has some edgier darker elements within the story, so iot might now work for regular PNR readers. So I would check the content warnings on this one before moving forward with it. I had a fun time with this one, and was intrigued by the atmospheric sense of the story. I am also curious to see how the other two books play out in the end.

Oh boy, where do I even start?

Okay, so, I've seen posts about 𝘏𝘦𝘳 𝘚𝘰𝘶𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘦 on booksta, and I've had it on my TBR for a while - my only regret? That I didn't read it sooner.

Starting the book I didn't expect too much, but it was 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚 from the very beginning! 
 
Sexy demons? Check.
Cool mythology? Check.
Sex scenes? Check, check, check!

The plot was filled with action and it kept me on the edge of my seat till the end!

Give me spooky vibes, sarcastic characters and smutty distractions and I‘m happy. And despite its nearly 500 pages it was an incredible fast read, let me tell you, I devoured it.

The plot itself was enjoyable and not dumb - sometimes that’s all you can ask for with horror installments - but lacked depth and creepiness for me. I would have loved to see more of the town’s history or the cult. Or the side characters who were pretty .. irrelevant. The storytelling reminded me so much of a supernatural filler episode (Charismatic MCs carrying the whole episode, random shallowly explained lore, unnecessary sidekicks, no real threat at any time, the villain is easily defeated in the last 4 minutes) - decide for yourself if that’s a good or a bad thing. 

Since I was looking for something I wouldn’t get too emotionally invested, this was perfect. Off to the next part.

This was so fun and also creepy I wasn’t expecting it to be a creepy as it was. Absolutely love Leon and I like area but sometimes she annoyed me because she’d do things that were very obviously stupid and know that it’s stupid but then do it anyway but over I liked her. Leon and cheesecake (the cat)…. So fucking cute also this book has an amazing plot AND great smut, the writing was really good too, anyway I’m really excited to read the next book
