Oceanography and Marine Biology

Once again it has not been possible to enclose all the manuscripts offered for the presentvolume. Such enthusiasm to obtain publication in the Annual Reviews is greatlyappreciated and must be the best indication of their value to marine scientists. The congenial relations with the contributors and the care of the publishers have againmade the editor's task more rewarding than arduous. The help of everybody is gratefullyacknowledged.
