“Yes — of course — but there’s no wood!” Hermione cried, wringing her hands.

“HAVE YOU GONE MAD?” Ron bellowed. “ARE YOU A WITCH OR NOT?”

“Oh, right!” said Hermione, and she whipped out her wand.»

« “Lucky you pay attention in Herbology, Hermione,” said Harry as he joined her by the wall, wiping sweat off his face.

“Yeah,” said Ron, “and lucky Harry doesn’t lose his head in a crisis — ‘there’s no wood,’ honestly.»

“I think I can tell who the wrong sort are for myself, thanks…”

“Bewitching the mind, ensnaring the senses, I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, even stopper death…”

“Tut tut, Fame clearly isn’t everything.”

“What do they think they're doing keeping a thing lIke that locked up in a school?" said Ron finally. "If any dog needs exercise, that one does."

"Strange how nearsighted being invisible can make you…”

“The happiest man on earth would be able to use the Mirror of Erised like a normal mirror, that is, he would look into it and see himself exactly as he is.”

"Books and cleverness! There are more important things like friendship and bravery…”

What other book can draw in both young adults and adults and captivate them through the entire book and then have them wanting more and more and more....

It’s more fun to read after watching the film… cuz u finally had that more visuals for the characters, and the discovery of they removed on the films from the books.

Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin! These new editions of the classic and internationally bestselling, multi-award-winning series feature instantly pick-up-able new jackets by Jonny Duddle, with huge child appeal, to bring Harry Potter to the next generation of readers. It's time to PASS THE MAGIC ON .

I always wanted to read the Harry Potter series, I was a big fan of the movies. I still remember the first movie with my mom and my little sisters! I could hear them screaming during the chess match. This book took me to that happy moment! I totally recommend this book, it is engaging and lovely. It relaxed me a a lot 😍

Don't ask me why I'm reading/listening this book for the nth time... im not such a fan of audiobooks when compared to reading the actual copies but who cares what i think.. in front of this masterpiece by pottermore, no words will match to it... it feels a lot lot lot more magical than whatever ive ever felt from harry potter world (bet you it was a lot magical already). the background score was just OMG!!! now im just humming the same tune over and over again. ps: hope this wins the choice award :)

No words to describe how this made my childhood.

Arrancamos bien con la saga. Si bien hay cosas que sé por las películas, no sé mucho. No vi ninguna película, así que esto va a ser una aventura copada. Le doy cuatro estrellas porque para ser la introducción a la saga, me atrapó bastante

Harry Potter lives in a cupboard under the stairs at his Aunt and Uncle's house. He is bullied by them and his spoilt cousin, and lives a very unremarkable life. But then Harry is transported to a world of magic and excitement

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Illustrated Edition

I reread this book to my kids, I remember loving it as a child, but now I can't for the life of me remember why... the sentences were so long that you ran iut of breath halfway through, and it wasnt enjoyable to read at all. My kids enjoyed it, and it was nostalgic but other than that not great.

Harry Potter thinks he is an ordinary boy - until he is rescued by a beetle-eyed giant of a man, enrols at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, learns to play Quidditch and does battle in a deadly duel. The reason: Harry Potter is a wizard!

Harry Potter has never played a sport while flying on a broomstick. He's never worn a cloak of invisibility, befriended a giant, or helped hatch a dragon. All Harry knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley. Harry's room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn't had a birthday party in eleven years.

But all that is about change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to a wonderful place he never dreamed existed. There he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic around every corner, but a great destiny that's been waiting for him...if Harry can survive the encounter.

I mean I know I’m late to the party but wow. An incredible world built by Rowling that wish I had dove into much earlier.

A truly remarkable and inspiring story about resilience and friendship. Sometimes it just takes finding your people to reveal your power and true purpose.

I’m about 20 years late to the Hogwarts party, but better late than never….

This first book was such a fun and easy read. I found myself actually excited to pick it up and escape reality for a little bit each night.

I fully understand the hype, and can’t wait to read the rest of this series.⚡📚
