Going back and reading this book was a wonderful idea. It reminded me why Dobby's death hurt so much and why Sirius' did too. The love they have for Harry is so pure and good that it makes the story even better.

I'm just going to dive right into reviewing this book. The plot is that Harry has been forced to entire the Triwizard Tournament by someone who really wishes that he was dead. Surprise surprise, right? Harry's entire life seems to be all about people wanting to kill him. Poor kid can't catch a break. 

Harry, Ron and Hermione are also growing up and starting to become more adultish. Harry and Ron had their first fight ever. Honestly, Ron can be a bit of an idiot but I understand why he was so upset with Harry. But on the same note, Ron has to know that Harry didn't ask for any of that fame. I mean, who wants to be known as the child of dead parents. That isn't fun. 

Also you start to see Hermione and Ron develop and you see the possibilities of a relationship. Reading this book now that I am older, I don't ship Ron and Hermione anymore. I was totally all about it when I was younger. I thought that Ron and Hermione were so cute and adorable. They gave me all the feels. Now, after Jk Rowling admitted to regretting the relationship, I can't help but agree with her. Ron is extremely incompatible for Hermione. Hermione needs someone as intelligent as her, that can keep up with her. It is what it is, I suppose. 

Fun fact to end this review: Rowling put in the part of Hermione teaching Viktor Krum how to say her name because she discovered that a lot of people were saying her name wrong. There. That is a thing you know. On to the next book!

           I think this is probably one of my favorite so far. It took me awhile to finish it simply because of Cedric. I knew he died and I wasn't ready to read about it. However, I was torn between not reading his death and constantly wanting to read this book! 

I'm glad I waited so long after seeing the movies to read this. I couldn't remember who out Harry's name in and was so shocked that is was 'Moody' then add on the fact it wasn't really him! I had completely forgotten all of that!

The book, you ask? There's no doubt about how well written, adventurous and thriller this book is. It's a curse to no-read Harry Potter series.

I loved this especially the moment when the sorting hat started to sing 😂 I forgot so much from this book! Also Regulus would have loved Hermiones SPEW so much!! It was a great idea to reread all of those books

It's probably my least favourite of the books (or closely tied with PS for least favourite) but in this case ''least'' favourite still means a book I love

I love the mystery elements of this book, and the role Sirius plays in it. I also like how well it bridges the lighter tone of the earlier books and the darker tones of the next. The quidditch world cup is also a highlight, as is getting more information about the first war and the death eaters we don't really get prior to this one. And I think this one has great side characters between Fleur, Cedric, Bill, Charlie, Fred, George, Rita Skeeter, Cho Chang and Krum

I love these illustrated editions so much and I'm liking rereading each year as they come out

MAN. For some reason I never reread Goblet of Fire because I really hate the movie and for some reason (????) thats put me off the book too. It's ridiculous and needs to stop because GOF is honestly one of THE BEST in the series (I say this about them all tho lmao) 

But seriously, it's so good. 

The characters, for a start. Fleur (my queen), Krum, Cedric, Moody (a great! villian ok), Dumbledore is probably my favourite in this one and ootp, I really like Hagrid in this one, I really like the outside characters like Crouch, Ludo, Dobby & Winky. ALSO !! SIRIUS !! MY BOY SIRIUS !! BEING LOWKEY DAD I LOVE HIM SO MUCH

The plot is SO well written and everything is worked into it so perfectly it's really, really well crafted and I appreicate that alot. The big reveal at the end makes so much sense, but being able to read it knowing what was happening really made me see the smaller details of it all and I think it's one of the cleverer ones plot wise. 

I feel like it perfectly hits that mix of dark plots and events with humour and fun that characterises Harry Potter. The scenes at the end with Cedric dying, Harry having to explain what happened are so, so incredibly sad. Much sadder than I appreciated the first time I read them. But Harry has come to mean so much to me and seeing him sad makes me really, really sad. He's such a good lad who's seen too much. Pretty much the whole maze/graveyard scene, the scenes with Crouch and the scenes of terror at the Quidditch World Cup are genuinely frightening and really well written. Also think the whole pensieve scene is well done, and any scene with Dumbledore and Harry interacting. 

But on the other side, the side plot of Fred and George trying to get their gold from Ludo, the plots about Rita Skeeter and the news articles, The Yule Ball and the teen relationship angst are so funny and lighthearted and I feel that contrast is what really makes Harry Potter. This book takes on that tone that the later ones follow and I really, really like that. 

There's just so much to like here from the epc opening Quidditch game, to the expansive plot, to the loveable and awful characters and the humour and the sadness and the heartbreak. 

Just love Harry Potter so much !!

Once I picked up this book, I couldn’t put it down. Very good in most parts. Here and there it was a little boring but altogether a good read.

The fourth title in the continuing saga includes Harry's latest adventure at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Book four of the Harry Potter saga is the story where JK starts building more complexity to her tales. The characters have a comfortable lived in feel and the events continue on a darker path. There is a joy in re-reading these tales after such a long time, maybe that's due to being comfortable with the characters as well. Whatever the reason, any trip on the Hogwarts Express is wonderfully thrilling.

More people need to talk about this one, i feel like its always forgotten but its one of the best😘 however Hermione and S.P.E.W gets so unbelievably annoying rly fast so.. but anyways it ends up slaying anyways

imagine having a 14 year old who only knows the expelliarmus spell as your mortal enemy why are the death eaters and voldemort fucking losers. also, inhales intensely, cedric diggory.

I'm still shaking. I do not believe that anything can make me cry as much as this book can.
It is my favourite and it broke me to little pieces. The last "happy-ish" Harry Potter book.
Don't you just looove Ron's jealousy? I love Ron.

Does anyone else hate J. K. Rowling's forshadowing while rereading the books? It's like some normal-looking scenes that I wouldn't have even noticed on my first read are there only to tell me that I'm going to suffer while reading this series.



I'm not sure if I'll be able to survive rereading books five and seven.
I'm unable to think straight. How does it always get to me?

P.s. I watched the movie so many times that I've forgotten that Beauxbatons had guys. I hate the movies. (Kidding, I love them, I just wish they didn't change everything so much)

Rereading this incredible story and picking up new details is a truly magical experience.
For a fleeting instant, Harry thought he saw a gleam of something like triumph in Dumbledore's eyes. But next second, Harry was sure he had imagined it, for when Dumbledore had returned to his sear behind the desk, he looked as old and weary as Harry had ever seen him.

After attending the Quidditch World Cup, where Voldemort's followers, the Death Eaters, cause a riot, Harry heads to Hogwarts for his fourth year of wizard study. There, Headmaster Dumbledore announces that instead of the usual inter-house Quidditch matches, Hogwarts will host the Triwizard Tournament...and somehow Harry is also chosen as the fourth contestant, even though he is underage and Hogwarts already has a champion. Thus begins the plot of J.K.Rowling's fourth book in the Harry Potter series, that leads to a climax even more spectacular, harrowing, and tragic than that of Azkaban (which is one of my favorite books in the series). 

The tone of Goblet is even darker than the last two installments but Rowling still gives us tons of humorous moments as well as the sparks of romance to help us ease our way into the evil plans that are unfolding in the wizarding world. The Goblet of Fire truly is when things really begin to heat up in Harry’s story and when things begin to truly take a serious turn. 

The ending is breathtaking, brutal, and, very moving. If you've read Goblet, you know exactly what I'm talking about and if you haven't, well, what are you waiting for (I won't give out spoilers)?

Rowling once again proves she is able to create a charming, suspenseful story. She plants the artful clues and tricky surprises that disarm the most attentive audience, even if you're reading the series for a second or third time, you'll still be shocked by the twists and turns of Goblet.
