This book is not for everyone, possibly not even me. The psychological abnormalities of the characters were overshadowed by the grotesqueness of the murder and sex scenes. The main character had an interesting back-story that led to her unfortunate mental state but I felt that wasn't explored enough. I will admit that I didn't see the twist coming and from a psychological standpoint, the story was fascinating. I just personally could have down without the almost unrealistic sex scenes - which thinking of it no, should have been a clue to the ending.

I love how this novella was a nice dark read full of gore, spice and horror. Some scenes were super hard to get through, specifically Sibby's past but it was a nice way to get back into the world of the cat and mouse duet through someone else's perspective. Sibby is such an interesting character and I'm glad I got to have a better look into her story. I felt like the first 100 pages went without plot and mainly consisted of straight gore and murder but it was definitely worth it and I'd recommend this to a seasoned thriller reader.

I love the character of Sibby and all the different layers, but I didn’t really feel like the spice had a place in this book amongst all the gore. I think I would’ve much preferred this novella if there wasn’t so many sex scenes with the Henchmen and just focused on sibbys past and story line. 

The twist at the end was a good way to tie everything together and I’m glad I read this after the Haunting Adeline series because otherwise I’m not sure I would’ve been so inclined to read those books

There are books seemingly written for me and those that simply aren't. This falls under the latter category unfortunately.

I was bored out of my mind while being mildly disgusted during the first half of the book and got really annoyed with the style, to be completely honest. Something of child-like story telling while focusing on so much sexual stuff just doesn't sit right with me. I didn't mind the gore and probably wouldn't have minded the smut if it weren't for that writing style in this book. I do understand what was tried to be done here, I just ... nah. 

The plottwist does put some of the happenings into perspective - it doesn't save the rating as I kept expecting something like this to happen the second Zaddy appeared.

This was not what I expected. It's very gorey, but very sexy as well. You feel sorry for Sibby as the story goes on, and the twist was not expected! A quick read before you start Haunting Adeline.

The first half was boring, I was indifferent to it all, a bit disturbed and sickened but indifferent for the most part.
The second, as soon as Zade appeared, took a 180° turn and I was hooked for the rest of it.
 Sibby is as psychotic as they come but there's something about a woman who carries herself with confidence and fears nothing that it's admirable and as a  woman impossible not to love.
There was literally nothing about the MMCs, a fact that I found irritating until the twist at the end. I'm speechless. I'm shocked. I'm still processing👁️👄👁️
This book went from 2stars the first half, 2.8stars when Zade appeared to freaking 3.5stars at the end because again, I'M SPEECHLESS.

That was .. interesting 🌝 

Tbh it was more explicit and violent than I expected it to be and several times I choked while reading. Since it’s the prequel to the series I actually wanted to read (cat and mouse duet) I didn’t care that the plot itself wasn’t that deep. 

If you’re looking for a distraction and escapism with a badass female mc, this is your book 😌

WOW… just wow… I can’t even describe how I feel, I speechless!! This is the horror novella I’ve ever read, and I enjoyed it so much!! 😩 (does that make me crazy? idk) It’s so twisted and dark, I LOVED IT. The plot twist at the end still has me confused, but how it ends… 
If you want to read a psychotic, blood thirsty character, you’ll like my girl Sibby <3
