I just know that I'll be haunted by these words forever. If someone asks me about Willa and Jack's story, I'd immediately tell them about this scene in the book. I loved how this gave me so much angst to the point that I wanted to DNF it because there's just too much of it, and I think couldn't take anymore of it. It would have been awesome if Ella Fields didn't do a time jump, but instead wrote the last five years of Willa and Jack's college lives, especially if it will be in Willa's point of view. How she and Todd are in the toxic relationship would have been a delicious read. I also loved how Ella wrote the family conflict and the resolution to it.
 
Although I have issues with this as well. First is that I hate how Jack was being an asshole to Willa. Alright, I love some fictional men who are assholes, but Jack was on another level, and I really disliked it. I might have loved the angst in first part, but I really hated how he treated Willa. I also disliked how there was a cheating trope in this book. I do think there's a much better way to give more angst than writing a cheating trope.
