Heartstopper: Volume 4
Reviews

I love the touch of topics of mental health, such as eating disorders and self harm, added into this love story. Friendships like the Paris Squad is what everyone needs in their lives tbh

yeah this is so fucking wholesome wtf

charlieeee đ

Love heartstopper with my whole heart, this volume shows Charlieâs mental health in a way that is very relatable, is a painful read and is upsetting but is well written â¤ď¸đ

definitely the hardest heartstopper volume to read. it mostly deals with charlie's (and nick's) mental health, eating disorders etc. it is unfortunate that many teens go through this, but again, i really appreciate nick being supportive of charlie and simply being there for him.

although i love the story and characters, i rated this lower than the other volumes because this volume was heavily based on a characters mental health and it was just kinda hard for me to read. excited for the final volume next month!

beautiful explores the up and down of teen relation ships wonderfully and i can't wait for more

This entire series is such a good mood lifter.

Freakin' adorable

As always Nick and Charlie never disappoint! I loved the mental health talk throughout this book. As someone who has had to deal with something similar with my head and my relationship this read was just amazing and couldnât have felt any more beautiful!

4'5

Every time I finish this, I want to start it again and again.

Itâs 1 in the morning and I need to go to sleep lol so review will be posted tomorrow!!

the fact that i am finished with this series is actually so heartbreaking but these characters make me so happy that i am just going to focus on them for now and ignore the fact that there isn't any more content for me to consume (please check the trigger warnings before reading this one!)

What saved this volume for me was the dinner where the two families meet. Nick's brother is an ass and breaks his phone. Nick, though, has grown a lot in the time Charlie was away and stands up to his brother. Thankfully his mother supports Nick. http://pussreboots.com/blog/2022/comm...

** spoiler alert ** all volumes review: i liked vol.1 itâs a cute and fun introduction and it made me learn more about nick and charlieâs individual lives and interests. vol.2 - uhm⌠yeahhhđ§ââď¸ its cool too ig? i like seeing their adventures. vol.3 - i really loved this one. i like seeing the other characters.. but reading it made me more interested in darcy and taraâs relationship rather than in nick and charlieâs. no offense but i didnt really clicked with nick or charlie đ i wouldnât say theyâre bland cuz theyâre not but there are some panels thatâs really frustrating and ig that kind of made everything off for me. vol.4 - ngl i was planning on not continuing reading this but i powered through it just to get my Tori crumbs. this volume tackled a lot about mental health and some heavy topics and it was kind of hard for me to read it without my eyes blurring. i especially liked the part where nick had a deep conversation with his mom on the beach my ass wont stop tearing up when i read that panel. also, the part where tori kicked davidâs phone and threatened him.. thatâs so cool of herâŚhand in marriage. 3 stars for the comic + 1 star for Tori my beloved (tori comic when)

tara and darcy <3

All I have to say that this book has just once again made my heart very happy! I love the characters and I love how mental health issues are talked about so openly, great book!!

Canât wait for the next one!

4.5 stars

Iâm not even joking, nothing actually happened. Donât buy this, donât waste your money. What a waste of good paper.

TW for this book: mental health & eating disorders (anorexia, OCD) 2/24/21 - i've only read the 5th chapter and idk how much longer i can wait until the entire 6th chapter is out. there's something about discussions of mental health and disorders that needs to be normalized (amongst the media we are exposed to). the stigma that approaching this conversation could bring negative connotations about someone or just the whole idea about mental health, in this case, eating disorders. it's good to see how healthy nick and charlie's approach to this type of discussion becomes that doesn't detriment their relationship when that shouldn't be the case in any relationship. but if someone isn't supportive, then they should suck their own dicks and fuck off. 6/15/21 - my physical copy finally arrive at the best time so i read chapter 6 in one sitting and it's truly what i need. part of the reason this series is phenomenal is that this romance expands from a normal love story. it's not realistic to say that after a love story comes a "happily ever after, the end." it's a touchy subject with mental health but love becomes evocative through the support care, and growth that i've seen through charlie and nick's relationship. the intersections were done very well and i'm excited to see where their journey takes them as they encounter other challenges in their romance. truly cannot wait for volume 5 !!

Heartstopper: Volume Four: 4.5/5 This installment heavily deals with themes of mental illness; please look up all trigger warnings before picking this up. Just as its predecessors, Heartstopper Volume Four is outstanding. Full of good life lessons and a heartwarming romance, Heartstopper Volume Four is everything I needed from this series and more! I love this series so much!! Nick and Charlie have my whole heart! Also, I cannot wait for the TV show!
