A surprisingly sad scene starts off this novel and we get a brief introduction to both our protagonist Darcy, before jumping to a new character, that of Matt Stone who seems to own a possibly haunted  grand home, though he himself refuses to believe in ghosts. That being said, he still allows someone to come and investigate and we once again meet back up with Darcy.

Matt is quite the abrasive character and the two of them do not start out in good terms at all.

The house proves to be haunted to Darcy after she is startled with a vision of a woman in white dealing with a malicious energy.  She goes on to our dream like visions from two different energies. One male and one female, their stories intertwining with one another.

Although it seems that Darcy doesn't have to worry about just ghosts as Melody house. There seems to possible be an all too real figure out for her. To cause harm and sway her away from the house. This was a really good paranormal cozy mystery.
