*I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review* Sabrina Millard is a perfectionist and a control freak. That’s why the role of maid of honor suits her so well. She’s the perfect person to insure her best friend’s wedding goes exactly as planned. Her only problem is the groom’s best man, Connor McCoy, who seems determined to make her life difficult and refuses to dance the second dance with her, as is expected of them. As if all the stress that comes with being the maid of honor weren’t enough, having to deal with sexy Connor, who pushes all the right buttons, is something Sabrina could definitely dispense… Connor is not exactly a believer in matrimony, nor in relationships for that matter, but he just couldn’t refuse when his brother asked him to be his best man. Of course maybe he would have been able to, had he know it would have meant dealing with Sabrina. Cause nothing would give him more pleasure than to make her lose control… And then there is the rehearsal dinner where they are seated next to each other and Connor decides to put Sabrina’s self-control to a test. And that’s when things started getting a little too kinky for my taste. I don’t want to give too much away, but the thing he asks her to wear at the wedding… No, just no. Not on that day and on those circumstances, especially considering it was all new to her. It just didn’t seem believable to me. I did like the fact that it wasn’t only Sabrina who lost her control because of Connor, but that he also broke his own rules because of her. And I liked the ending, the revelations and Sabrina’s attitude. Considering it’s a novella, there is never much room for character development, so I thought the author did a good job considering the reduced number of pages.
