While just as charming as the rest of the Her Royal Spyness novels, I cannot help but think this one has fallen a little short. Perhaps this is a consequence of having read them one after the other, but this one does not seem to have the same excitement as the others have. The ending, while certainly unexpected and a bit of a plot twist, was a tad anticlimactic. The romance between Georgie and Darcy is still sweet, but does seem to go on and on with no inclination that they will achieve marriage anytime soon. Still, a pleasant book that doesn't require too much thought in reading and is positively enjoyable.
