This book did touch me deeply! The last Imperial family of Russia - the Romanov’s are already since 12 years a part of my life. Although I did read many books about them, I somehow didn’t dare to touch the diary’s of the Grand Duchesses. I did read 2018 the diary of Tsarina Alexandra, tho. This year I decided to finally read them! I started with Olga’s since she is the oldest daughter of Russia’s last Tsar. It was deeply heartbreaking to know the events through her perspective, to know about her wishes, and hopes and her heart by her own words. This book also shared many entries of Tsar Nicholas Diary! Since, Olga stopped very abruptly to write her diary. Which is even more touching to know these events not just by the feelings of the oldest Grand Duchess but also through Tsar Nicholas.
