It's hard for me to describe this book. I don't know what genre to put this under, it's contemporary but also historical with a dash of fantasy? I didn't much like the beginning, it did get better though. This has chapters that just dragged and dragged (for such a short book at that), and logically, it may not be the best. I really can't speak for it in that aspect but I really wasn't expecting it to take the turn that it did. Faye, Faraway was a very character-driven (or relationship-driven) book, I wasn't thinking much about the plot because like I said it did drag, and it felt like plot was pushed in a corner for a while. But there was a point this book made me literally sit straight up. I'm not exactly sure with what I feel about the ending yet, only that it was very unexpected. 

In a nutshell, this book isn't exactly what I'd call great, what was supposed to be the emotional parts weren't a hit for me, but even then I enjoyed reading this; didn't want to put it down. Although, my liking of this was greatly influenced by very personal reasons.
