This was my first book by Lauren Rowe and my first fire fighter romance! I have to say she didn't disappoint. Hero starts off with a bang for Lydia and for Colby. I admire Lydia's strength. After everything she went through she still got up everday for her children and did the best she could. Colby seems like an amazing guy. He may not be one who is really ready to settle down, but he's always honest about that. The Morgan family is amazing and I would love to be a part of that. I found out after reading this, that this wasn't the first Morgan Brothers book. I definitely need to pick them up ASAP. After Colby's accident, Lydia is there to heal him. What they both don't realize, is there journey is fixing them more than they both thought possible. This book has a lot of humor, emotion and romance. What Colby did is definitely heroic and he does something more than once. Somebody so willing to do anything he can to make someone's life better definitely deserves the world. I loved Lydia's kids and how much they were involved in this story. I've read a lot of romances where the kids are mentioned, but don't play as much of a role that they do here. This book had me in tears a few times while reading. Tears of sadness, but also joy. This definitely won't be my last Lauren Rowe book!
