This book definitely dragged on at times, and it didn’t feel like a typical slow burn. The duo was together early, and it was more the progression of the relationship and the pair coming to terms with their past and moving forward together.

A story of second chances and healing ✨️ Read this multiple times and I love it more and more every time. It's a fanfiction but it's my head canon.

Did I speed read? HELL YEAH. Do I have tears in my eyes? YEP.

Really wonderful!! The growth these two experianced was absolutely amazing and it was a privilege to follow along with it. Only gripe is it was just too long, lots of unnecessary exposition and long drawn out scenes.

While I love slow burn pacing after they become a couple was too slow for me. It also got too repetitive, same thoughts (of mostly Draco) again and again. Nonetheless I liked many ideas, writing was really solid and everyone was pretty much in character.

I’m giving this 4 stars because, while this was a perfect palate cleanser after Manacled, I think it was a bit TOO long and too much of a slow burn when it was pretty obvious the direction the plot was going. I definitely started skimming with about 20% left to go.

I usually do not count Fanfiction on Goodreads but after reading this 300,000+ masterpiece I had to include it. I had topics of forgiveness, love, and mental health but also had some spicy scenes. I was so lovely. I was so addicted. I read it in 4 days during all of my free time. I used the word masterpiece, but that was 1000% correct. Heyjude19 produces nothing less of perfection.
