Zipangu Night

In this collection of graphic novellas, the social diseases that plague Japan today are seen through the eyes of a future narrator looking back from a more healthy era. A School girl fears for the life of her fellow students at the hands of their new teacher, another whose school grades suddenly drop longs to return to the halcyon days of her youth. A girl who dotes on her pets transforms into a huge, revengeful rat, while the son of education-crazed parents is consumed by his own brain. A beautiful young lady's obsession with cosmetic surgery leads to horrific results, and a woman awakes one morning to find she is the mother of a sickly child.
