Now I just love Banks Historical's, they are amazingly written stories that take you back through time, so vividly portrayed, it makes you just want to go through a time portal yourself. After reading the first in the series, I just fell in love again with her second Historical series. Now I think I almost loved this one more than the first, there were so many aspects of the story that I enjoyed. It was definitely a page turner that will knock your socks off and make you want to fly. I felt like from beginning to end, like it was one of those romances that you just buy and re read forever. One of those unforgettable romances, that is written in such a way that it enthralls the reader and by the time its finished you just don't want it to ever end. I really loved the way the author wove this story together so beautifully, and dealt with difficult issues and just fit it in together amazingly well. It was very emotionally heart wrenching, and I really enjoyed how the characters fit so well for the plot that was portrayed. I felt like everything fit perfectly and the flow of the story was as smooth as warm honey. If anyone can make you fall in love with the Scottish Highlands, its Maya Banks. A Romance that will enchant you, a story filled with a tender romance, an intriguing plot and charming characters, that will keep a reader thirsting for more. You can't go wrong with this series..... A TRUE TREASURE!!!

Rating: 5 stars - Perfect Maya Banks has done it again, another 5 star - Perfect novel in The Montgomerys and Armstrongs series. Highlander Most Wanted (The Montgomerys and Armstrongs #2) was an emotional roller coaster ride for me. What I love most about this series is that the heroine's are broken and damaged but they are strong will characters. Genevieve was taken prisoner by Ian who made her his personal whore but not by choice. She takes a lot of torment from Ian's Clan as they all think she is his whore by choice. They are hateful and mean to her but she holds her head up high and will not let Ian or his Clan know how much they have broken her down. There is one Clan Woman she is able to bond a friendship with and knows the real reason she is with Ian. I loved the friendship with Taliesan. What broke my heart more is what Genevieve had to do in order to get free and what she did to protect someone else. This leads to a big betrayal towards Bowen, his family and Clan. Did not see this betrayal coming and added so much to the novel. Bowen like his brothers and Clan do not take to kindly when woman are being treated bad. Bowen starts becoming protective of Genevieve. He promises her that he will protect her and grant her wishes of being free. Loved Bowens character as he was willing to put her need of freedom first even though he was in love with her. Maya Banks had me shedding a few tears towards the end but not to worry I was also shedding a few happy tears. Loved them as a couple. As always Maya Banks writes the hottest sex scenes and well written. Loved how Bowen still thought she was beautiful even though she had a scar on her face from Ian knifing her to make sure no one would want her. He loved her for her strength and feisty determination. It was a joy to see Eveline and Graeme again from Never Seduce a Scot (The Montgomerys and Armstrongs #1). Loved all the secondary characters, especially Taliesan and Brodie. I could tell Brodie was already showing interest in Taliesan right from the beginning. He was already caring for her and showing signs of protectiveness towards her. I am excited that their story is next in Highland Ever After (The Montgomerys and Armstrongs #1). Highlander Most Wanted is another keeper for me in The Montgomerys and Armstrongs series. Highly recommend this series if you love your highlanders sweet with a sexy alpha male attitude. I would read this series in order since Genevieve plays a big role in Never Seduce a Scot (The Montgomerys and Armstrongs #1) and Highlander Most Wanted (The Montgomerys and Armstrongs #2) continues the storyline. If read this novel first you will not be lost and will have an idea of what happened in book 1, but to really appreciate the story line I would highly recommend reading in order. I am in full agreement with what I have seen from other reviewers that this plotline, in regards to Genevieve, is not what I am looking for in this type of romance novel. I also agree with another reviewer, that this plot could be great in a historical fiction novel, where the romance is not the primary objective, but since this is a romance novel, she has to get over her trauma quickly, so she can fall in love with the hero which was too unrealistic for even me to set aside my disbelief. The trauma that she endured both at the hands of her capture, but also his clan, could make for an incredible story of strength and survival, but here it feels like a cheap plot device. In fact, her recovery from the horrific trauma she endured for a year, felt incredibly unrealistic and seemed to need to happen just so the requisite "romance novel" sex scenes between the H and h could begin. Not only did what happened to Genevieve make the sex scenes between the H and h feel extremely uncomfortable, but how it was handled felt disrespectful to actual survivors of physical and sexual abuse. In addition, it did not sit well with me that there is an on page violent, attempted rape of the h that the H saves her from and then very quickly after she wants the H to sleep with her telling him to, "take away what he did." There is also no satisfactory resolution with the McHugh clan, pertaining to their treatment of Genevieve. (hide spoiler)] Setting aside the more major issues I had with the plot and characterization, I also had the issue that you are also just told about the h and H getting closer, instead of those scenes being shown to you, so in the end I just couldn't believe in their love for each other. I really wish authors would stop just telling you that characters are falling in love instead of letting you see it. In this case, I do think that it is a result of the author getting in over her head with what happened to Genevieve in the past and what is currently happening to her, so too much was going on in order to pace the love story well. What I did like in this book enough to give it an extra star was (view spoiler)[the friendship and interactions between Genevieve, Eveline, and Bowen's sister (I can't remember her name). Her teaching them to shoot a bow and arrow was great and I wish there had been more of it. (hide spoiler)] I will probably continue with the series if the third book ever gets published since I enjoyed the first book so much. Also, can Bowen and Graeme's sister get a book? I love her!

TW: Rape, assault, physical abuse, torture, PTSD, thoughts of suicide This book pretty much from the first page made me so emotional. Genevie's story is not an easy one and it is very hard not to feel for her. There are some bits that seemed a little unrealistic in the story and felt like it was more for the sake of the plot than anything else. I don't think I loved this one nearly as much as the first but I still really enjoyed it.
